Raul Suarez

Raul SuarezBorn in Mexico in 1973, Raul has been teaching for almost twenty years.  Having specialized in literature, philosophy and languages, it was probably his lifelong proximity to art that led him to start his own creative endeavors.  He has been an avid photographer since 2000, when he discovered the joys of photography on a trip to Cuba.

Raul specializes in weddings, environmental portraits, children, headshots, and corporate events. Though he’s built up extensive experience in advanced lighting equipment and techniques, he strives to look beyond the technical to keep his views on life and emotions within his imagery, with a focus on story telling.

In 2004 he moved permanently to Japan, starting ILC ( International Language Center), and in 2010 he opened a personal photography studio.  Raul’s work has been featured in numerous magazines and websites. In addition to his fine art photography, he has done many commercial assignments and commissions for general corporate clients as well as those in food service and advertising.  Some of his best work can be viewed online at Suarez Studio.
